It really is the most magical time of the year. The days are getting colder and the Christmas lights are starting to go up. When you turn on the radio, every station has a Christmas carol in rotation. Every time you step outside, you can feel the joy all around you. It is indeed the Christmas season. And just in time for the Holidays, Gelish has released their new winter collection, Sing 2! This collection does have 12 colors to choose from and each shade comes in either a dip, gel, or lacquer polish! Now, I'm going to be completely honest and tell you that I have never seen the movie, BUT I have seen some previews and it did look super cute and I will have to make time to watch it. I mean, who doesn’t love singing animals, right?

This collection differs from the Artistic BreakOut Beauty collection in several ways. There are more colors to choose from and the shades are more vibrant in color. There are also more of a variety of finishes in this collection, i.e. shimmers, metallic, creams etc. The diversity of this collection makes it the perfect one to use when you do your holiday nail looks this year! Even though there are some non-traditional Christmas colors, there are several shades that would go perfect with your holiday ensemble.

As I mentioned before, there are more vibrant colors in this collection. I, personally, am one who likes more of a darker, more neutral color pallet. And one of the things that I REALLY LOVE is that this collection has a black shade. I am a sucker for a good black shade of nail polish. In one of my previous blogs, I mentioned that I really loved the way a dark nail color looks against a light colored outfit, this is where the reference came from. I know that when most people think of black nail polish, you’re probably thinking of teenage angst, punk rock bands, and hair all of the colors of the rainbow. But I think that black nail polish can actually look very sophisticated. If it were me picking shades from this collection, I would choose the black crème shade “Front of House Glam” and pair it with the silver glitter shade, “Coming Up Crystal”. Almost every time I get my nails done, I get a similar color combination. If you probably haven't guessed it by now, I may have been one of those rebellious teens, so this has been a go color combo for me for a long time. Back then, I would've worn the shade alone. As an adult, I like to add that extra sparkle from time to time. 

I kid you not, there is a shade for everyone in this entire collection. There are so many color combinations that can be done with this collection and so many different outfits that can be worn with them! We all know someone who loves to get nail polish in their stocking, make sure you get yours in time before they’re all gone, this collection is not going to last long!
